Finally Arrived!

hey all!! eva here... in Beijing! hope everything is good with you all...

it's currently Sunday morning and we are awake bright and early after a twelve hour sleep!! the plane ride here was seriously exhausting!... we did not sleep a wink!!... you would perhaps think that our inability to sleep would be due to maybe a) our excitement coming to china or b) we had a good rest the night prior... but fack! seriously... what kept us spry were babies! crying babies... kept us both awake!! so those of you who plan to ever bring their babies/child on the plane i would suggest you either drug it up with some gravol or at least try to entertain the young one!...

so our arrival to Beijing was quite the ordeal... you would think with the upcoming Beijing 2008 Olympics that someone somewhere in the airport would have a clue of english... well yes, that is what you would think. instead we were forced to use our superb mandarin skills to try to navigate through the chaos of getting to the hotel. superb i say!... hahaha. and what service!!... the bus driver who barked at us to board the bus didn't even have the courtesy to take our baggage to stow in the compartments nor did he tell us when to get off the bus!... so what happened rather was lisa asked man beside us in regards to whether we passed our destination and he confirmed our suspicion!...
anyway - today is a new day... a new beginning!!

Lisa here. To continue our story. We hailed a cab once we got off the bus only to find out we were on the wrong side of the road. They were one ways. So we had to lug our big big luggages around to the other side where everything seemed to be fenced off so it was longer to get to the other side. Once we were there it was a ok. well except that eva almost got almost run over by a red car while waling on the pedestrian walk! I guess every man for himself here lol But we got here safely and hotel is soooooo nice! We wish we can stay here for the rest of our trip.

So today we need to book some tickets and that's about it. Got some nice sleep thanks to our friend benedryl. Got groceries last night that we can't use cause we have no pots and pans. But all in all...its ad adventure :)

We'll keep it short. Time is money here lol
